Welcome to Western Dermatology which is a private dermatology practice located at the Hollywood Medical Centre in Nedlands, six kilometres from the City of Perth. The practice is led by Clinical Professor Prasad Kumarasinghe, who has extensive specialist training and experience to provide specialised dermatological treatment for a wide range of skin diseases and disorders.

Clinical Professor Prasad Kumarasinghe
MBBS, MD, FCCP, FSLCD, FAMS, FACD
Professor Prasad Kumarasinghe received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS, University of Colombo) in 1983 and completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD, University of Colombo) in 1989.
Professor Kumarasinghe trained further in dermatology in Sri Lanka and Australia. Professor Kumarasinghe is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD), a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine (FAMS), a Fellow of the Sri Lanka College of Dermatologists (FSLCD) and a Fellow of the Ceylon College of Physicians (FCCP). He worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at several university teaching hospitals in Sri Lanka and Singapore before commencing practice in Australia.

Our dermatology team is comprised of highly qualified medical professionals who specialize in management of skin diseases, skin care and skin health. We provide comprehensive care for all skin conditions and diseases. Our staff includes a renowned specialist dermatologist, medical administrative assistants, and registered nurses. All of our staff members are dedicated to providing excellent care to our patients. We strive to provide a comfortable and safe environment for our patients. Julianne has been Prof. Kumarasinghe’ s right hand woman for over 12 years now in the surgery room. With a caring nurturing nature for both humans and animals, when Julianne is not in the rooms with us you will find her out in the paddock with her horses and family.

Jo is our veteran here at Western Dermatology as she has been with Prof. Kumarasinghe for over 15 years. Jo likes to spend her quality time with her two teenagers. Jo has a passion for ballroom dancing, travelling and dining out or socializing with friends.

Adam has been part of our team for many years.
Everybody gets excited when Adam visits us here in the rooms and it's not just because he makes money appear in our banks. Adam is a father of two grown children and is happily married to Yolanda a registered nurse. In his spare time Adam likes to play softball and electric guitar.

Shemara joined our practice in early 2022 and currently works part time as a valued member of our administrative team. Shemara takes pride in assisting patients with professionalism and compassion. Outside of work, Shemara enjoys spending time with her family.

Kerry is a medical secretary and has been a part of the team since 2022. She comes from a background of aged care and support for our elderly community for over 10 years. Outside of work she is a busy mum who enjoys cooking, 4wding and holidaying with the family.
